LAMINATE FLOORING...GREEN OR NOT?
Whether laminate flooring is green or not really depends on your definition of sustainability. There are some great laminate products being produced with the environment in mind. ~The manufacturing process reuses laminate flooring product waste in several ways. For example, product waste is often burned at the Quick Step factory to produce heat for making laminate flooring.
~Quick Step uses a special installation locking system that removes the need for adhesives that may contain VOCs. This installation system also allows for the flooring to be removed easily and can be installed elsewhere.
~Quick Step laminate flooring is NALFA guaranteed. This means the flooring has undergone extensive testing to ensure the product's performance, by a third party.
